A Prayer by Rev. Jody Spiak, Pastor of Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church

Liberating God, you break through the barriers of impossibility and reveal to us the true potential without and within.  You set us free to live in the joyful abundance of more than we can hope or imagine.  Jesus forged a way forward that broke through barriers and tore down walls, and he asked us to follow.  Help us to follow even when his way takes us through wilderness lands.  Help us to follow when it takes us down dangerous roads.  Renew our faith, so that when we are asked to follow you out onto the water, into tumult and uncertainty, we will not hesitate.  Transform all our fears into faith, and lead us always to you.  Amen.
